Raipur: Left Wing Extremists (LWT) brutally killed about 25 tribals in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh. The Naxalites have accused the slain people of being police informers, confidential soldiers and insiders. According to reports, a Naxal left-wing terrorist group issued a statement last Thursday stating that at least 25 tribal people have been punished through a public court after receiving " clear evidence" against them in the Gangalur area of Bijapur.

A banned terrorist organization known as ' Vikalp' termed them as ' deceitful ' and ' police informers ', saying that the slain people included 12 confidential soldiers, 5 in the same and 8 informers. The exact figures of tribals killed by Naxalites are still not clear. However, the Telangana police said that they had received intelligence inputs that naxalites had killed 16 villagers near Telangana-Chhattisgarh in the last week of September.

Talking to media, an telangana official said that the Naxalites had also kidnapped some other villagers and hid them in the jungles of Bijapur and later killed them also. The Naxal terrorist gang ' option ' allegedly claimed that one of the secret informers who worked for the police was also including senior Maoist leader Vija.
