Nepal wants to end the ongoing tension with India through negotiations

Gorakhpur: Nepal is now in favor of resolving every issue of tension with India through dialogue. A few days ago a meeting has been held between the Indian Ambassador to Nepal and the secretaries of other departments including Nepal Foreign Ministry. Nepal Government is now setting the framework of a large high-level meeting to discuss the burning issues that were not discussed in this meeting.

In Kathmandu, preparations for this meeting have also started. According to official sources of Nepal Foreign Ministry, the government has started homework to prepare the agenda of the meeting. Whether the meeting will be virtual or following social distance, it remains to be determined. On the same day, on the Indo-Nepal border dispute issue was discussed in the meeting of the Nepal ruling party's task force and the secretary level officers on behalf of India.

The map released by Nepal on Lipulekh, Limpiyadhura and Kalapani was justified. A resolution was passed in the meeting, emphasizing on a smooth, problem-free and reliable Nepal-India relationship based on the principles of Panchsheel principle, sovereign equality, mutual respect and mutual benefit. Nepal had requested the country to respect the historical facts and to confess to the fact that all the area before Kali (Mahakali) is owned by Nepal according to the Sugauli Treaty. With this, now the discussion is trying to improve the situation.
