New Delhi: The case of the ongoing Nirbhaya incident has been going to take a stand on its own. A question comes in the mind of who got this punishment before. Looking at the history of Tihar, the last hanging was given to terrorist Afzal Guru. Before that Ranga-Billa was hanged. For the first time in Delhi's Tihar Jail and for the second time in the country, preparations are being made to hang 4 people together.
Before this, on November 27, 1983, in Pune's Yerwada Jail, 4 people who killed 10 people were hanged together in the Joshi Abhyakar case. Whereas, for the first time, 2 people were hanged 37 years ago in Ranga Billa in the hanging cell of Tihar on 37 January. Till date, 4 people have never been hanged together in Tihar. The number of criminals of Nirbhaya is 4 It has to be seen whether this time how they are hanged.
It has been learned that between January 1976 and March 1977, 10 people were killed in Pune by Rajendra Jakkal, Dilip Sutar, Shantaram Kanhoji Jagtap and Munawwar Harun Shah in the Joshi-Abhyar case. All these killers were students of business arts at Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Tilak Road, and were all hanged together in Yerwada Jail on 27 November 1983 for their criminal acts. Along with this, there are now lines of worry on the foreheads of 17 prisoners who have been sentenced to death in various jails of Delhi. According to jail sources, the administration is looking into the executioner who is executing the death sentence. A total of 16 death cells have been constructed in the same building in which the hanging cell is in jail No.3 of Tihar. Only those prisoners who have been sentenced to death are kept in the death cell.
