Patna: Former Bihar Deputy CM Sushil Modi has issued a statement on the decision of the Patna High Court, saying that Nitish Kumar is responsible for not getting a reservation for the OBC in the municipal elections of the state. In a video statement posted on Twitter, Sushil Modi said that Nitish Kumar has not conducted the triple test even after the order of the Supreme Court, due to which the court has given a decision.

Sushil Modi also reacted sharply to Upendra Kushwaha's statement, saying that Nitish Kumar has not followed the procedure, due to which the people of the most backward classes of the state will not get the benefit of reservation in the municipal elections and Nitish Kumar is responsible for this. Sushil Modi said that Nitish Kumar had given reservation arbitrarily even after the Supreme Court's clear direction that reservation cannot be given without a triple test. Sushil Modi said that due to the arbitrariness of Nitish Kumar, the backward class people of Bihar will be deprived of the benefit of reservation in the Bihar municipal elections.
Let us inform you that the Patna High Court has cancelled the OBC reservation in the municipal elections to be held this month in Bihar and has stayed the election. Patna High Court Chief Justice Sanjay Karol and SK Kumar's bench gave this decision on Tuesday. The court has held that the state government has given reservation to OBCs without a triple test as per the decision of the apex court. While the backward castes were to be identified before giving reservations, the government did not do so and directly gave reservations which are completely unfair.
