NIT-Tiruchi makes transition to offline class mode

The National Institute of Technology - Tiruchi (NIT-T) campus has become bustling now that offline classes have resumed in the aftermath of the pandemic.

Offline classes have resumed in a staggered manner at the institute. Second and third-year students were the first to be invited, followed by final-year students. Before that, Ph.D. students were told to go into offline mode.

According to N. Kumaresan, Dean (Students' Welfare), the institute held a sports meet, an annual technical festival Pragyan, and a cultural festival NITTFest to introduce students to various activities. He added that the Even Semester exams are set to commence, and that second-year students will leave campus for summer vacation following the tests this month, while third-year students will leave in mid-May.

During the last few weeks of the academic year in June, first-year students will be called for offline classes. They began their first semester in the last week of November 2021 and finished it last month. After the senior students leave, over 1,200 first-year students will be accommodated in the hostels, with no room for overcrowding in the rooms.
