Pakistan's performance in the T20 World Cup 2024, hosted by America and the West Indies, has been disappointing so far. Under Babar Azam's captaincy, the Pakistani team lost both of their initial matches. However, they managed to secure a win against Canada by seven wickets in their third match.

Despite this victory, Pakistan faces a challenge in qualifying for the Super 8 stage. Apart from Pakistan, England and New Zealand are also at risk of being eliminated from the T20 World Cup 2024 during the group stage.

Qualifying Teams for Super 8

South Africa and Australia have secured their spots in the Super 8 stage by qualifying first and second, respectively. India has the opportunity to join them if they defeat the United States on June 12th.

Tough Challenge for Pakistan in Super 8

Pakistan suffered a decisive defeat against the United States in the first match of the tournament. They then faced India on June 9th and failed to chase a target of 120 runs, losing by six runs. However, they kept their hopes alive by defeating Canada in their third match.

Pakistan will play their final group stage match against Ireland on June 16th. Winning this match is crucial for Pakistan. If the match is washed out by rain or canceled due to any other reason, Pakistan will be eliminated from the World Cup.

England's Fate Hangs in the Balance

In Group B, England's chances are bleak. Their match against Scotland was washed out, and they lost to Australia in the second match. Now, they must win their remaining two matches and hope for a favorable outcome in the other games.

New Zealand and Afghanistan's Strong Performances

New Zealand suffered a significant defeat against Afghanistan by 84 runs in this World Cup. With a net run rate of -4.2, they are currently in fifth place in Group C. Afghanistan, on the other hand, has won both of their matches, boosting their chances of qualifying for the Super 8. In summary, Pakistan, England, and New Zealand face the risk of early elimination from the T20 World Cup 2024, while Afghanistan seems poised to advance to the next stage.
