Chennai: Tamil Nadu BJP, Vidya Rani, daughter of slain Chandan smuggler Veerappan, relatives of late Chief Minister MG Ramachandran have been appointed to the position in the state executive committee and various cells. According to the information received recently, many film personalities have been appointed on Wednesday in the executive committee and various cells of the state. In a recent statement issued by the BJP, an announcement has been made about this.

The announcement said that Rani, who joined the party in February last year, has been appointed as the vice-president of the state's youth wing. Assembly elections are going to be held in Tamil Nadu next year. In March this year, L. Murugan, who took over as the State BJP President, was considering extending the party to the state. Thinking about this, these appointments have been made which have happened recently.

Simultaneously, Geeta, the adopted daughter of AIADMK founder Ramachandran, who joined BJP in 2017, and R Praveen, the grandson of MC Chakrapani (brother of Ramachandran) and actress Radha Ravi, have been made members of the party's state executive committee. In 2004, the infamous Chandan smuggler Veerappan was killed in a police encounter. There was news that Veerappan kidnapped Kannada actor Rajkumar in 2000 and former Karnataka minister H. Nagappa in 2002.
