Srinagar: After the bulldozers in several states of the country, now in Jammu and Kashmir also, bulldozers action has been announced to make the wakf board lands free of encroachments. Announcing this, Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi, head of the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board, on Sunday (May 8, 2022) has said that those who have occupied the wakf land will soon face bulldozers in the Union Territory.

According to media reports, Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi was addressing a one-day conference of the Wakf Board. In his address, he warned all those who have encroached upon the Wakf Board land and constructed an illegal structure on it. "Soon, we will launch a demolition drive across Jammu and Kashmir to remove the illegal occupation of encroachers and restore the ownership of wakf land and property by demolishing mosques, Mazars, and houses. Those occupying wakf land and property will soon face the action of bulldozers.''

He further said that it is a warning to all encroachers who occupy the Wakf Board's mosque, Mazar or any kind of property through the media to come to us and surrender their illegal occupation, otherwise, they will have to face bulldozers. According to the report, the one-day conference of the Wakf Board was led by Dr. Andrabi, in which board members Dr Ghulam Nabi Halim, Syed Mohammad Hussain, CEO, Jammu and Kashmir Wakf Board Mufti Farid, all the administrators of wakf managed religious places were also present.
