The journey from Bareilly to Lucknow on the National Highway has become expensive. Now toll taxes will have to be paid in Faridpur, too. After the tolls at Khairabad in Sitapur district from Bareilly to Lucknow and Intonja in Lucknow, the third toll has started at Faridpur from 8 a.m. on Wednesday. Now more than 12000 vehicles will have to pass by paying a toll in a day. The fourth toll is proposed at Magalganj in Lakhimpur district and is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

The necessary arrangements for recovery at the Faridpur toll plaza have already been completed. NHAI has entrusted the responsibility of collecting tolls to a private company for three months. The project manager of NHAI said that extensions have already started getting provided the services are satisfactory. He said that 12 thousand vehicles are expected to pass through the toll in a day. The first vehicle passing through the toll plaza was worshipped. Toll taxes were collected by feeding sweets to the driver.

These people will get a pass for Rs. 330. People living within a 20-km radius of the toll plaza will get a pass for Rs. 330 a month. NHAI Project Manager BP Pathak said that if your village is within a 20-km radius of the toll plaza, you can get the fast track pass by affixing the RC of the vehicle along with proof of residence. The certificate of residence for the vehicle and village is going to be issued in the name of the person in whose name the fast track will be issued.
