New Delhi: In schools, hybrid learning is becoming an impediment to high-quality education. The National Progressive Schools' Conference (NPSC) has written a letter  to Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, soliciting unconditional reopening of schools at the earliest. NPSC is a Delhi-based company that manages 120 private schools.

"Due to the long period of school closure caused by the Covid virus, students' writing skills and competences have been severely harmed. Reading and writing are fundamental abilities in primary school, which our students have tragically been lacking for the past two years. The need of the hour is to provide as many possibilities for holistic development as possible, and school is the perfect setting for this "In the letter, NPSC Chairperson Sudha Acharya stated.

"The decision to cater to both online and traditional school students is not only impeding the delivery of high-quality education, but it has also overwhelmed the teaching profession. This is in some ways at odds with our goal of making education accessible to all, leaving no one behind "she said.
