NEW DELHI: The Enforcement Directorate on Thursday detained Chitra Ramkrishna, the National Stock Exchange's (NSE) former CEO and MD, regarding the NSE  co-location scandal. The Enforcement Directorate had moved Rouse Avenue court which granted them 4 days custodial remand.

Chitra Ramkrishna was earlier grilled by the anti-money laundering agency at Tihar Jail in May. She was placed under arrest on March 6 by the CBI after which she was sent to judicial custody.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) first charged Ramkrishna and Anand Subramanian, the former group operating officer of the NSE, in the case in April. The CBI detained Subramanian on February 24, while Ramkrishna was taken into custody on March 6.

Since May 2018, the investigation agency has been looking into the matter, but they have not been able to identify mysterious Himalayan Yogi with whom the classified information were shared by Ramkrishna.

Recently, the SEBI had charged a penalty of Rs 3 crore on her, following the market regulator's finding that she allegedly shared key inputs about the NSE with the 'yogi'.
