According to reports, the family has registered a case of rape and murder against the teenager's cousin. It is alleged that during the wedding ceremony on Sunday, he was intimidated and taken to the field and murdered for failing to commit rape. The family said the 17-year-old teenager went missing on Sunday afternoon under suspicious circumstances. When they did not reach home by 5 p.m., the family began searching for him. The family had lodged a missing complaint at the police station after finding no clue. The body of the teenager was found in a farm near the village on Monday. SP Rajesh Kumar Srivastava and Chief of Police Sandeep Balyan along with the police force reached the spot.

In the case, ASP Rajesh Kumar Srivastava said that Tau of the deceased has filed a report against his sister's boy alleging that he had killed the teenager when he resisted the rape. On Sunday, the accused came to a wedding ceremony in the village. At the same time, he intimidated his niece and took her to a sugarcane field near the village and tried to rape her. It is now alleged that the accused killed his niece and escaped from the spot after protesting against the rape. The ASP said that a report has been filed against the accused. The accused is currently absconding.
