Tractor Rally Chaos: Delhi Police announce Rs 1L reward for information on Deep Sidhu

New Delhi: Today is the 70th day in the wake of the farmers' agitation opposing agricultural laws on the borders of Delhi, the capital of the country. The gathering of farmers on the Ghazipur border, the Indus border, and the Tikari border is constantly increasing. Today there will be a mahapanchayat of farmers in Rohtak and Jind. Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait will be involved in both places. At the same time, the Red Fort case will be heard in the top court.

Deep Sidhu, accused of 26 January violence, has declared the reward by Delhi Police. The Delhi police has announced Rs 1 lakh cash reward each for information on Jugraj Singh, who had climbed the flagpole at the Red Fort and unfurled the religious flag; Gurjot Singh and Gurjant Singh. Further, an amount of Rs 50,000 reward each for information leading to the arrest of Jajbir Singh, Buta Singh, Sukhdev Singh, and Iqbal Singh has also been declared. These names mentioned above allegedly played a role in instigating the January 26 violence in the national capital. After which in a written reply, Union Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy said that on the said day at Delhi borders, large convoys of protesting farmers in tractor trolleys attempted to furiously enter into the national capital and go past police barricades.

Public interest litigations related to the violence in Delhi on 26 January will be heard in the apex court today in protest against the three agricultural laws brought by the central government. During the tractor parade on Republic Day, protesters climbed the Red Fort and also hoisted the religious flag. Two petitions were filed in the apex court on 27 January. A hearing will be held today in these cases.
