Indore: Everyone's work is stalled during the lockdown. Meanwhile, the power company has announced an increase for consumers, which is going to give them some relief. During this lockdown period, consumers were exempted from surcharge penalty for delay in filling electricity bills. The power company has announced that those who deposit bills on time will also get incentive money. The company has announced that a percentage discount will be given on the bill amount for the payment of the April and May bills by the due date. However, the maximum exemption limit has been set for low pressure and high-pressure consumers.

Actually, consumers are locked in homes during lockdown, in which case the percentage of depositing electricity bills has also decreased. If the company cannot take action for revenue collection, efforts are being made to raise revenue through incentive money. According to Vikas Narwal, MD, Western Region Power Distribution Company, low pressure consumers will be able to get a rebate up to Rs 10,000 and high pressure consumers up to Rs 1 lakh.

According to MD Narwal, with this special exemption of the lockdown period given by the company, low pressure consumers will also get a rebate of Rs 20 and a thousand rupees for high pressure consumers as before on online payment. Because the company's cash counters are closed, consumers can pay bills through various online or digital transfers. With this, a rebate of one percent will be adjusted in the next month's bill from 1 April to 31 May.
