Visakhapatnam: A man named Santosh was performing stunts with fire by putting diesel in his mouth in an old lane in Elimanchili area of the district, causing himself to burn and seriously injured. In an attempt by the locals to douse the fire, the diesel in Santosh's hand fell and the fire intensified. Due to this, Santosh's face and chest caught fire and he suffered severe burns.
The local people present there somehow extinguished the fire and admitted Santosh to KGH Hospital in Visakhapatnam. Two software engineers died in a painful accident in Visakhapatnam itself. The deceased have been identified as Dhanraj (22) and K Vinod Khanna (22).
According to PM Palam Police, Dhanraj of Shardanagar-2 area of Marikavalsa and K Vinod Khanna of Swatantra Nagar along with their friend Prashant from Panorama Hills on Tuesday night after birthday celebrations, were hit by an unidentified vehicle as they approached the cricket stadium. Dhanraj and Vinod Khanna died on the spot. Dhanraj works for Infosys, while Vinod Khanna is employed locally in a software company near Rama Theatre. PM Palam CI Ravi Kumar said that a case is being registered and investigation is going on.
