New Delhi: On Thursday, the floor leaders of all opposition parties in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will meet in Mallikarjun Kharge's office as the Leader of the Opposition (LoP) of the Rajya Sabha to discuss a crucial political matter,  source said.

A meeting of Congress MPs will take place at the Congress Parliamentary office in Parliament after the floor leaders meetings of both Houses. Notably, opposition parties persisted in forcing Wednesday's adjournment in the two Houses of Parliament due to their demands regarding the government's installation of GST on certain everyday items and price increases.

The third day of the monsoon session of Parliament saw two adjournments before Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day. After noon, the Rajya Sabha was also postponed for the day following an earlier break. 
To press their demands, opposition parties also staged a demonstration outside of Parliament near Mahatma Gandhi's statue.

Opposition leaders said that the government's revised GST rates on a number of everyday commodities were causing budgetary problems for the average person during the demonstration in front of the statue of Mahatma Gandhi.

A rollback of the government's increase in the GST rates on goods including curd, bread, and paneer was demanded by opposition party leaders from the Congress, NCP, DMK, and Left.

Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, all leaders in Congress, attended the meeting. During question time in the Lok Sabha, protests were organised by the opposition parties.
Parliament's Monsoon Session began on July 18 and will last till August 12. The Session will consist of 18 sittings.
