Bhubaneswar: Six people have been reported to have died in a tragic road accident in the neighbouring state of Odisha in Chhattisgarh. All the deceased are said to be residents of the Mahasamund district of Chhattisgarh. The accident took place at Sunsunia under Jonk police station of Nuapada district bordering Chhattisgarh. The speeding car got out of control and got off the road and hit the tree.

A total of six people, including a boy and a woman, lost their lives in the accident. Everyone was going to attend the wedding ceremony. According to information received from the police, all the deceased are residents of Village Rasoda under Basna police station area of Mahasamund district of Chhattisgarh. All were on their way to Sindhikela Odisha to attend a wedding ceremony. As soon as they reached the Nuapada-Bargarh Biju Expressway near Mahamaya College in Sunsunia, the driver, Suknath, lost control of the car.

After which the speeding car number CG 06 GF 2753 got down 10 feet from the road and hit the tree. Pradeep Mallik (50 years), Basanti Mallik (45 years), Jagdish Sahu (45 years), Manas Sahu (12), Shatrughan Pradhan (65 years) and Suknath Bhoi (50) died on the spot. The news of the death of six people of village Rasoda has sent shockwaves to the entire village.
