In Myanmar's conflict-torn Kayah state, the Myanmar military killed around 30 people, including children and women, then burned their bodies. Karenni Human Rights Group stated this on Saturday.

The Karenni Human Rights Group stated, "We will not rest until the culprits of this heinous inhuman human rights violation are discovered." The Myanmar military, on the other hand, has claimed that "terrorists with weapons" from the opposing armed forces were shot and killed in the area.

The Karenni National Defence Force (KNDF), one of the most powerful civilian militias fighting Myanmar's military, claimed that the victims were not members of the group but innocent civilians seeking refuge. "We were shocked to see that all of the dead bodies were of different sized, including children, women, and the elderly," a commander from the group told Reuters on condition of anonymity.

"This morning, I went to visit. "I saw burned bodies, as well as children's and women's clothing all around," a local resident told media.
