New Delhi: In the crisis of the corona epidemic, private hospitals are constantly facing allegations of negligence and extortion. Now high profile people are also falling prey to the arbitrariness of these hospitals. One such incident has taken place with Padma Vibhushan Shastri singer Pandit Chhannulal Mishra. In fact, Pandit Chhannulal's wife had died of corona infection in the past.  His daughter also lost the battle to corona at a private hospital last week. After the death of his sister, Pandit Chhannulal's second daughter rushed to the same private hospital and created a ruckus, and levelled serious allegations of negligence and extortion on the hospital.

On April 26, 76-year-old Manorama Mishra, wife of Padma Vibhushan Pandit Chhannulal Mishra, passed away due to corona at a private hospital in the Gurudham area. Then on May 1, Pandit Chhannulal's elder daughter Sangeeta died at corona Hospital in Medagin area. Two days later, the hospital administration did not give full details of his daughter's investigation, nor was the CCTV footage of the patient given to the family members of Pandit Chhannulal Mishra. His younger daughter Namrata Mishra then reached the hospital and went on a rampage.  Namrata said the doctors of the hospital took several lakh rupees in the name of treatment. But every doctor kept talking differently. Then, on April 29, it was called to inform that the patient was in critical condition and that she was reported dead when she came to the hospital. She says his sister was murdered, not dead.

During the hour-long uproar, the police also rushed to the hospital and explained to the agitating family members, and asked for a written complaint. After which a complaint was lodged against Medwin Hospital at Kotwali police station on behalf of Namrata Mishra, daughter of Pandit Chhannulal Mishra.
