New Delhi: Oil companies today released fresh petrol and diesel prices on Monday. According to the latest update by Indian oil companies, the prices of fuel petrol and diesel nationally are still stable on December 27. Globally, crude oil is priced at about $74 a barrel.
According to Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL), the price of petrol at an Indian Oil pump in the national capital Delhi is stable at Rs 95.41 per litre on December 27. On the other hand, the price of diesel is also unchanged at Rs 86.67 per litre. Petrol and diesel prices vary in states due to VAT and freight rates on oil. Coming to the four major metros, Mumbai has the highest fuel prices. Petrol in Mumbai is around Rs 110, while diesel is more than Rs 94 a litre.
Petrol is being sold at more than Rs 100 per litre in several districts of Bihar and Madhya Pradesh. You can know the price of petrol and diesel in your city every day through an SMS. For this, Indian Oil (IOCL) customers will have to write an RSP code and send it to the 9224992249 number.
