New Delhi: The price of petrol diesel is steadily increasing. As the oil supply receded following a drone strike on Saudi Aramco, the rates of petrol and diesel in the domestic market have been rising steadily. Crude oil prices also saw a rise on Thursday morning, with petrol and diesel rising for the third consecutive day. In Delhi, petrol climbed 29 paise a litre to 72.71 rupees per litre and diesel climbed 19 paise to 66.01 rupees.

At the same time, you may have noticed that petrol was expensive on Tuesday with 24 paise and diesel 25 paise, and today, Thursday morning, petrol prices rose to Rs 75.43, Rs 78.39 and Rs 75.57 respectively in Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai. Diesel prices also touched Rs 68.42, Rs 69.23 and Rs 69.79 respectively. Oil production has come down after a drone strike on two Saudi Aramco plants, affecting oil supplies in Asian countries. 

"Crude prices may pick up further in the coming days, which may gradually affect the domestic market," analysts said, anticipating a $10 surge in crude prices in the next few days and Brent crude on Thursday morning. Light up with a gain of $62.71 a barrel and WTI crude reached a level of $58.20 a barrel.
