Gujarat: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday, July 28, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of multiple projects of Sabar Dairy at Gadhoda Chowki in Gujarat's Sabarkantha.
The projects worth over Rs 1,000 crores on July 28, will help empower local farmers and milk producers and strengthen their income. This will also give a boost to the rural economy in the region, the PMO said.
The total cost of the project exceeds Rs 300 crores. The plant's layout complies with global food safety regulations. It is extremely energy efficient and emits nearly no emissions. The plant is outfitted with a cutting-edge, fully automated bulk packing line.
The Prime Minister also dedicated the Sabar Dairy's Aseptic Milk Packaging Plant. It is a state-of-the-art plant with having capacity of 3 Lakh Litre per day. The project has been executed with a total investment of around Rs 125 crores.
The project was completed with a total investment of approximately Rs 125 crores. The facility boasts the most recent automation system, which is very energy efficient and environmentally friendly. The project will contribute to greater milk producer payment.
The Prime Minister will also lay the groundwork for the Sabar Cheese and Whey Drying Plant Project. The project's anticipated cost is nearly Rs 600 crores. The Plant will manufacture Cheddar Cheese, Mozzarella Cheese and Processed Cheese. Whey generated during the manufacturing of cheese shall also be dried at Whey Drying Plant, having a capacity of 40 MTPD.
The Prime Minister will visit GIFT City in Gandhinagar on July 29. GIFT City (Gujarat International Finance Tec-City) was envisioned as a global integrated hub for financial and technological services.
