New Delhi: PM Modi on Monday visited Varanasi on the auspicious occasion of Karthik Purnima. During this time he got immersed in Shiva devotion at the Ghats of Varanasi. During this time, along with PM Modi, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath saw the laser show at the Chetansingh Ghat from the cruise. You can see PM Modi shared a photo of it on social media. However, before this, PM Narendra Modi took part in many programs during his one-day visit to Varanasi, his constituency on Monday.

He visited the city on the occasion of 'Dev Deepawali' and witnessed the enchanting scene of Kashi. During this time, PM Modi also participated in the organization of Dev Diwali and expressed his happiness. Expressing happiness, he said, 'Today when Kashi's legacy is returning, it seems as if Kashi is ready to listen to the news of the arrival of Mother Annapurna. The lighting of the 84 Ghats of Kashi with millions of lamps is unique. This light in the waves of the Ganges is making this aura even more supernatural. '

Apart from this, he also said, 'Adi Shankaracharya himself gave inspiration to the Dev Diwali we are seeing today at Panchganga Ghat. Later Ahilyabai Holkar Ji carried this tradition forward. It is said that when the monster named Tripurasura terrorized the whole world, Lord Shiva ended it on the day of Kaatki Poonama. On that end of terror, tyranny and darkness, the gods had celebrated Diwali by lighting lamps in the city of Mahadev.
