New Delhi: Congress party national spokesperson Randeep Surjewala has launched a scathing attack on Vijay-Shaurya Diwas over the Bjp government's tweet at the Centre. He tweeted, 'The Modi government and the BJP will not shy away from their cheap and poor politics.' He wrote that not even naming Indira Gandhi ji, the "Iron Lady" of the 1971 war by The PM and the people of the government on the 50th Victory-Bravery Day of Bangladesh's independence, is an example of her frustrated and narrow mindset.'

In fact, on the occasion of the Golden Victory Festival of the 1971 War, PM Modi arrived at the National War Memorial on Thursday where he paid homage to the martyrs of the 1971 war. PM Modi paid homage to the soldiers who lost their lives in the war while participating in the welcome and honour ceremony of the Golden Victory Torches here. Pm Modi was accompanied by the country's Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.

In fact, PM Modi lit four golden victory torches on the same day last year. According to information received from the PMO, these torches were transported to different parts of the country. These include the villages of Param Vir Chakra and Mahavir Chakra winning soldiers in the 1971 war.
