PM Modi Extends Invitation for AI Summit 2023, Details Inside

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended a special invitation for the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) Summit 2023. The summit is geared towards highlighting the latest advancements and innovations in Artificial Intelligence (AI). Scheduled to take place at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi from December 12 to 14, the event will see participation from more than 28 member countries and the European Union, all involved in the GPAI. India holds the distinction of being a co-founder of GPAI, a platform aimed at guiding the responsible development and utilization of AI, which was initiated back in June 2020.

PM Modi took to LinkedIn to extend this invitation, emphasizing the swift expansion of AI technology and its increasing application by the younger generation of bright minds. India, known for its dynamic start-up ecosystem and skilled workforce, is primed to play an active role in shaping the future of AI.

Highlighting India's technological growth over the past decade, PM Modi pointed out the country's significant progress, attributing it to the widespread use of mobile technology, increased internet connectivity, and scalable digital inclusion models. Additionally, India has been leveraging AI to provide services in regional languages, facilitate personalized education, improve healthcare accessibility, and enhance agricultural practices.

The GPAI Summit 2023 promises an array of intriguing sessions, including the AI Expo featuring 150 innovative StartUps showcasing their capabilities. PM Modi underscored that the summit underscores India's dedication to utilizing technology, especially AI, for the betterment of society, ensuring that countries in the Global South are not left behind in reaping its benefits.
