NEW DELHI: Indian space scientists were congratulated on the successful launch of the PSLV C52 mission by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi remarked in a tweet, "Congratulations on the successful launch of the PSLV C52 mission by our space scientists. For agriculture, forestry, and plantations, as well as soil moisture and hydrology and flood mapping, the EOS-04 satellite will deliver high resolution photos in all weather circumstances."

"India's Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle PSLV-C52 injected Earth Observation Satellite EOS-04 into an intended sun synchronous polar orbit of 529 km altitude at 06:17 hours IST on February 14, 2022 from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, SHAR, Sriharikota," the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) tweeted. Former Union Minister and senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh, quoting an ISRO tweet, said:

"With the faultless launch of three satellites from Sriharikota today, @isro has achieved its first significant success of 2022! Tomorrow's meeting with the Parliamentary Standing Committee will have the perfect setting." " The EOS-04 satellite is built at Bengaluru's U R Rao Satellite Centre. It's a Radar Imaging Satellite that's meant to offer high-resolution photos in all weather circumstances for applications including agriculture, forestry, and plantations, as well as soil moisture and hydrology, and flood mapping. It weighs around 1710 kg, generates 2280 watts of power, and has a 10-year mission life "According to the ISRO.
