New Delhi:  On the occasion of Swami Vivekananda's birth anniversary, National Youth Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 25th National Youth Festival in Puducherry via video conference on Wednesday.

Sharing details before media persons virtually about the National Youth Festival 2022, Secretary, Youth affairs, Usha Sharma said that the Festival intends to mould the minds of India's youth and transform them into a united force for nation-building. "As we commemorate Swami Vivekanand's birth anniversary, his teachings and everlasting convictions in the potential of youth resonate strongly with India's changing times," she remarked.

Sharma saidm, the Festival has been rescheduled to take place virtually from January 12 to 13, 2022, because to the growing Covid scenario.

The National Youth Summit will follow the inauguration, with the goal of galvanising, igniting, uniting, and activating the youth toward nation-building and unlocking the true potential of our demographic dividend.

"Participants will get a glimpse of Auroville, Puducherry's Immersive City Experience, indigenous sports events from around the country, and folk dances, among other things, throughout the festival. Live musical performances, interactive yoga sessions led by Auroville and Art of Living instructors, and more are among the festival's highlights "Secretary of State for Youth Affairs was also added.
