PM Modi to visit Kaziranga National Park starting Today

PM Modi is set to visit Assam's Kaziranga National Park during his two-day tour starting Friday. Assam's Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for projects totaling approximately Rs.18,000 crore.

Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, Sarma revealed that Modi's visit will include his first-ever trip to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kaziranga National Park, where he will also go on a safari.

Sharing further details about the tour schedule, Sarma mentioned that Modi will arrive in Assam on Friday afternoon and will stay overnight at the Kohora range of Kaziranga National Park. This visit underscores the significance of conservation efforts and highlights the importance of environmental protection in the region.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also set to present the inaugural National Creators Award at the Bharat Mandapam, today, March 8. This prestigious award, announced by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), aims to celebrate excellence and impact across various fields such as storytelling, social change advocacy, environmental sustainability, travel, technology, education, and gaming.

The National Creators Award has garnered significant public engagement, with over 1.5 lakh nominations received across 20 different categories in the first round. Subsequently, around 10 lakh votes were cast for digital creators in various award categories. From these, 23 winners, including three international creators, were selected.
