NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the people of Telangana on the state's formation day today, June 2.

India's youngest state, Telangana was carved out of Andhra Pradesh in 2014 after a decades-long agitation. The skills of its people and the richness of its culture are greatly admired, he said in a tweet.

''On the Formation Day of Telangana, I extend my greetings to the people of Telangana, the wonderful state. The skills of its people and the richness of its culture are greatly admired. I pray for the well-being and prosperity of Telangana.'', The prime minister said.

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar also wished on Friday wished the people of Telangana a "bright and prosperous future" on the occasion of the state's formation day. "Warm greetings on the statehood day of Telangana! The state is renowned for its rich heritage, vibrant culture and thriving industries. Over the years, people from Telangana have excelled in many fields and contributed immensely to the growth of Bharat. May the state Telangana continue to prosper and touch new heights of glory," the Vice President tweeted.

India President Droupadi Murmu first extended her greetings to the people of Telangana on the occasion of the tenth formation day of Telengana. Telangana Formation Day. Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief K Chandrashekar Rao was elected as the first Chief Minister of the state, following elections in which the party secured a majority. 

Since its formation, Telangana has made significant strides in various sectors, including education, healthcare, and infrastructure. The government has focused on improving the quality of education and has established several renowned universities and research institutes in the state. The healthcare sector has witnessed remarkable development, with the establishment of world-class hospitals and medical facilities.
