New Delhi: Indian players performed brilliantly in Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics this year. After returning from Tokyo, PM Narendra Modi met all the sportspersons and enhanced their respect and the athletes also gave them gifts on their behalf. Now all the gifts that people are bidding for have been kept for auction.

More than Rs 10 crore was bid online for the javelin of athlete Neeraj Chopra, who won India's first gold medal in Javelin. In fact, Neeraj Chopra presented the spear as a gift from PM Modi. Neeraj Chopra's javelin bid for auction started at Rs 1 crore and has crossed Rs 10 crore so far. At the same time, several prized gifts received by PM Modi have also been kept for e-auction.

The money from them will be utilized in the Namami Gange Project. On the first day of e-auction, bumper earnings of over Rs 10 crore are yet to be released in the auction. According to media reports, out of 11 bids for the gloves of women boxer Lovlina Borgohen's Olympic Bronze Medal pair, the highest bid was Rs 1.92 crore as against the base price of Rs 80 lakh till Friday evening.
