New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today congratulated the force personnel on the foundation day of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). In fact, he has tweeted, "Whenever the country needed him, he responded with indomitable courage and dedication. ITBP was established after the 1962 war with China and has about 90,000 soldiers.'' You can see PM Modi tweeted on the 60th foundation day of ITBP, "Our ITBP snowmen from the dense forests of Arunachal Pradesh to the Bafirli peaks of the Himalayas have shown indomitable courage and dedication at the call of the country.''

 

Congratulating the force personnel, he said, "The humanitarian work done by the force in times of disaster is commendable.'' You must all know that ITBP is one of the five branches of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). In fact, it monitors the northern borders and prevents border violations. It also monitors illegal immigration, cross-border smuggling, etc. Prime Minister Narendra Modi remembered the versatile and eminent cartoonist RK Laxman on his 100th birth anniversary.

In a tweet, he said, "Through his works, he beautifully presented the social and political truth of the time. On the 100th birth anniversary of R.K. Laxman, I retrieve him.'' You can all see PM Modi also shared a video of his speech at the launch of a book called Timeless Laxman in 2018.
