New Delhi: PM Modi on Sunday targeted the opposition, saying that those whose politics continued to go on the lines of 'brokers and middlemen' are spreading 'lies' in relation to the reformist steps of his government. He stressed that the country will not waver. PM Modi said that the farmers of the country will not support those who oppose the 'historic' reforms undertaken by their government.

PM Modi was addressing the program of initiating the direct distribution of property cards through a video conference under the 'ownership scheme'. He said that the work that his government has done for the village and villagers in the last six years has not been done in six decades of independence. PM Modi mentioned many projects in this regard, including opening of bank accounts, construction of toilets and housing, Ujjwala scheme and electrification scheme etc.

Attacking the Congress, PM Modi said that, 'Those who have been in power for many years have made things very big, but left the people of the villages to their destiny. I can not let this happen. PM Modi said that many people do not want the village, the poor, the farmers, the Mazdoor brothers and sisters to become self-sufficient. Keeping the people of the village in the absence of the poor has been the foundation of the politics of some people. Nowadays these people are having problems with the historical reforms that have been done in agriculture, they have gone to daze.
