New Delhi: Earthquake tremors have been felt in many areas of the country in the last few days. A 5.3 magnitude earthquake struck Mizoram on Monday morning, causing much damage. There has been a rift in the houses, roads have also been damaged. Meanwhile, PM Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to Mizoram CM Joram Thanga and assured all possible help from the Center.

It is a matter of honor that no life has been harmed in this earthquake. According to the information, earthquake tremors occurred in Champhai district of Mizoram at 4.10 am on Monday morning. The earthquake was 5.3. The epicenter of the earthquake has been reported 20 kilometers below ground in the Chamfai district. PM Modi tweeted on Monday, wrote that after the earthquake in Mizoram, he talked to CM Joram Thanga Ji, has assured him of all possible help from the center.

Apart from PM Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also spoke to the CM and took stock of the situation. Within 12 hours two tremors have been felt in Mizoram. The intensity of the earthquake was so high that houses cracked. Many offices have also been damaged while the roof of a church has also been broken. At present, the state government is running relief work at the local level, besides other agencies are also engaged in the work.
