PM Modi to give victory mantra to BJP workers in UP

Lucknow: PM Narendra Modi will interact with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers of his Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh on January 18. The party has informed about it on Saturday. This will be Modi's first political programme with party workers after the Election Commission announced the schedule for assembly elections in five states including Uttar Pradesh.

Sources said PM Modi is likely to hold digital dialogue during this period. The UP unit of the BJP has shared the programme on its Twitter account and asked people to share their thoughts and suggestions through the Namo app. PM Modi has made several visits to UP ahead of the announcement of election dates. PM Modi has laid the foundation stone and inaugurated several projects in his earlier visits. During his visit, he has not only strongly praised the functioning of the Yogi Government but has also launched scathing attacks on the Opposition. The PM has strongly praised Yogi Adityanath for the alleged reforms in law and order in the state. He had called Yogi useful in UP.

The Election Commission has imposed restrictions on public meetings and roadshows till January 15 in view of the increasing cases of Covid-19 due to assembly elections and will apprise it of its next guidelines later on Saturday.
