New Delhi: Election strategist Prashant Kishore (PK) may soon take over the Reins of the Congress. There has been speculation about him joining the Congress for quite some time now. Prashant Kishore had also met Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi recently after which speculation swelled. However, Prashant Kishore himself is not speaking openly on the matter.

Now a report claims that Rahul Gandhi has sought advice from senior party leaders on bringing Prashant Kishore to the Congress. The report claims that discussions on the issue have intensified in the party. Senior party leaders say the matter was discussed at a meeting led by Rahul Gandhi on July 22. It has been reported that several senior Congress leaders were involved in the meeting.

The leaders were AK Antony, Mallikarjun Kharge, KC Venugopal, Kamal Nath, Ambika Soni. The report claims that if senior leaders agree with Rahul Gandhi's decision, Prashant Kishore could be given a key responsibility as general secretary (campaign management) in Congress. According to media reports, Prashant Kishore also made a presentation to the Gandhi family on July 15. According to the report, a Congress leader even claims that former party national president Rahul Gandhi may take a final decision on the matter in the next few days.
