Lucknow: The case of shaving a Muslim elderly man in Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh is still in the news on social media. That is why the police are now working day and night to complete the investigation. In the incident, on Friday (June 18, 2021), the investigating officer recorded the statements of Pravesh Gurjar, who was lodged in Dasna jail, in which he admitted to beating Abdul Samad.

Pravesh, who has been in jail in another case since June 12, told the police that he was angry that night. Because he thought that a 5-month-old baby had died in his wife's womb because of the amulet given by Samad. He said that Samad's beard was cut not by him but by Kallu because he was also very angry. A lot of people were there. Police are now preparing to remand the entry after recording the statement.

Four more accused were arrested by the police a day earlier in the case. The accused have been identified as Himanshu, Anas, Chavez and Babu. All of them were produced before the court by the police on Friday where the judge granted bail to the four. So far, 9 persons have been arrested in the case, out of which 8 have been granted bail. On the other hand, Ghaziabad police has sent notices to nine persons including Twitter asking them to appear before the investigating officer within 1 week.
