HYDERABAD: President Ram Nath Kovind will visit Hyderabad for his annual southern sojourn from December 29 to January 3. The President will stay at Rashtrapati Nilayam in Secunderabad Cantonment at Bolarum.

Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar reviewed the preparations for the President's visit and stay on Tuesday. He convened a coordination meeting with officials from various department heads.

The chief secretary directed that officials from the various departments work together to make the best possible arrangements. He directed the Commissioner of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and the CEO of the Secunderabad Cantonment Board to begin road repairs and barricading so that traffic to the Rastrapathi Nilayam flows smoothly.

Somesh Kumar directed that the electricity department ensure 24-hour power supply, the medical department deploy medical teams, and other departments make arrangements in accordance with Rastrapahti Bhavan protocol.

According to the chief secretary, the President's visit to Hyderabad should be viewed as an opportunity to boost the Telangana government's prestige and the city's global recognition. As a result, officials have been directed to coordinate with all departments in order to avoid any shortcomings in arrangements and to make the President's visit as comfortable as possible.
