Mizoram: Indi President Ram Nath Kovind arrived in Mizoram on two-day visit.  According to an official, President Ram Nath Kovind landed in Aizawl on Thursday for a two-day visit to Mizoram.

At Lengpui airport, he was greeted by state Home Minister Lalchamliana and other officials, he added.

On Thursday at 4 p.m., the president will attend Mizoram University's convocation ceremony. According to the official, he would leave for Delhi at 10.45 a.m. on Friday. 

After taking office in July 2017,  Presidente Kovind made his second trip to the northeastern state. In November 2017, he spoke at a special session of the state assembly and opened housing complexes for economically disadvantaged people. The "Basic Services to Urban Poor Scheme" is a programme that provides elementary services to the poorest people in the city.
