If you have been hit by a disease, then pay attention before choosing a hospital for treatment. The average cost of treatment in private hospitals of the country proves to be seven times more expensive than that of government hospitals. This claim has been made on the basis of survey data conducted by the National Statistics Office (NSO) between July 2017 to June 2018.

According to the media report, the report of the 75th round of National Sample Survey (NSS) on Household Social Consumption was released by the NSO on Saturday. According to this, the average cost of treatment in government hospitals comes to Rs 4452 (Rs 4290 in rural areas and Rs 4837 in urban areas). But if we talk about private sector hospitals, then any patient has to spend about Rs 27,437 in rural areas and about Rs 38,822 in the city.

If you do not know, then let us tell you that according to this the average cost of treatment in private hospitals is Rs 31,845. The report also states that on admission to hospitals (private and government) in rural areas of the country, a patient has to spend an average of Rs 16,676 for medical expenses in rural areas, whereas the same average expenditure in the city is Rs 26,475. Sits This information has come out after surveying about 1.13 lakh houses. Please tell that this is the fourth such survey in the country. Earlier, the survey was also conducted by the NSO in 1995–96, 2004 and 2014.
