Mumbai: A massive fire broke out in the ICU ward of a hospital in Pune, Maharashtra this afternoon. According to the report of the news agency ANI, three fire engines have reached the spot after getting information about the incident and relief work is going on. However, due to the fire at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Hospital in Pune Cantonment area, no information has been revealed about the injuries to any of the hospital workers and patients.
This hospital is located at a distance of about 150 km from the country's financial capital Mumbai. Let us tell you that last month, eight patients of Corona infected died due to horrific fire in the ICU ward of a private hospital in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. According to the media report, the fire officer had given information that a worker who was on fire in PPE ran out of the ward, but the fire spread quickly throughout the ward.
At the time of the hospital fire, about 45 patients were admitted to the hospital 50 bedded ICU. However, due to the vigilance of the employee and prompt action of the fire department, a major accident was avoided.
