Chandigarh: Punjab's new CM Charanjeet Singh Channi is making a new announcement as soon as he takes over the reins of Punjab. Recently, he has given gifts to the government employees of the State. In fact, he has increased the salary of government employees in the State by 15 per cent. According to reports, new Congress CM Charanjeet Singh Channi announced the decision as soon as he was sworn in as CM. The list includes a waiver of electricity and water bills for the poor and farmers. There are reports that decisions in this regard will be taken in the Cabinet. On the other hand, CM Channi said, "Those whose electricity bill connections have been disconnected will be restored.'' Also, inform all of you that the State Government is going to take many more decisions of public interest. In this regard, the salaries of state government employees have been increased by 15 per cent. According to the order issued by the Punjab Finance Department, the hike will be based on basic pay and 11.3 per cent Dearness Allowance.

On the other hand, CM Charanjeet Singh Channi has asked officials and government staff to reach the office at 9 pm. At the same time, he has asked them to remove the problems of the people on a priority basis. If you know, the Punjab Cabinet had announced a 15 per cent hike in the basic pay of government employees last month itself. At the same time, the State Government had decided to revive some allowances of employees. Captain Amarinder Singh was the CM of the state at that time though he could not implement the decision.
