Supreme Court has rejected a petition filed by the Central Investigation Agency (CBI) seeking permission to investigate the Bahubal Kalan and Bargari cases. Now the special investigation team (SIT) of the state will investigate this case. Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh gave this information to the House on Thursday. The CM assured the House that now the SIT will find the right squeeze on these matters.

The court on Thursday morning allowed the state government to continue its investigation of the indecent cases and subsequent police firing. The investigation of these cases was entrusted to the CBI during the previous Akali-BJP government. Due to the CBI's failure to complete it, Captain Sarkar had earlier announced in the House that the cases would be withdrawn from the CBI and the state government would get them investigated.

For your information, let us tell you that the MLAs welcomed this information given by the Captain in the House. Meanwhile, members of the Akali Dal reached the well to demand a discussion on the issue of electricity and kept shouting slogans for a long time. Amid the noise, AAP MLA Aman Arora said that now the Punjab government should make a time bound investigation into the disgrace case and punish the convicts. Whether or not it is related to all the cases of firing because these are all separate cases. When Aman Arora was speaking, the Akali Dal (Badal) MLA was shouting loud slogans at that time. Aman Arora said that the Akalis are not even ready to hear about this matter while this issue is connected with the inattention of Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
