Rafael Nadal wins his 300th match at Grand Slam

Spain's Rafael Nadal, who has won 13 times from Roland Garros, won his 300th Grand Slam match on Wednesday to book a place in the third round of the French Open. Spanish tennis star Nadal has also defeated France's Corentin Moutet 6-3, 6-1, 6-4 in straight sets in a match at Court Philippe Chatrier.  

He has also won the Grand Slam title a record 21 times, making it the third player to win 300 Grand Slam matches. Earlier, Roger Federer (369) and Novak Djokovic (324) won the Grand Slam match. Nadal said after the match, "The last two months have not been easy for me. The start of the season has been excellent, unforgettable and extremely soulful.'' 

Where he has said, "After Indian Wells, I had to move away from the quarter because of some problem in my ribs, so I am trying day in and day out and winning the match is very helpful. It's very important to win the match like tonight. It gives me an opportunity to practice again tomorrow and play another match after tomorrow. "I'm just happy that I'm in Roland Garros, which is the most important tournament for me this year.''
