Ranchi: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi promised that if the Congress, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Grand Alliance came to power in Jharkhand, the loans of all farmers would be forgiven. While addressing his first rally in Jharkhand during the assembly elections here, Rahul said that the loans of farmers were waived when the Congress came to power in Karnataka, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh.
He said that if the government of Mahagathbandhan was formed in Jharkhand in this way, the loans of farmers here would be forgiven. The MP from Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency, Rahul Gandhi, accused the Modi government that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not announced the loan waiver of farmers in the last five years of his tenure and in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ruled states till date.
Rahul Gandhi said that the BJP government is forcibly snatching land from tribals and giving it to the industrialist friends of PM Modi. Gandhi said that if the Mahagathbandhan comes to power in Jharkhand, first the loans of the farmers will be forgiven. The land security of the tribals will be guaranteed and the problem of unemployment will also be resolved.
