New Delhi: The veteran Congress leader and former Union Minister Capt Satish Sharma died in Goa on Wednesday. Many leaders have mourned Sharma's death. Satish Sharma was 73 years old. Former Congress National President Rahul Gandhi has also mourned the death of Captain Satish Sharma. At the same time, Rahul also reached his last visit, where he also gave shoulder to Satish Sharma's bastard. Earlier, he had written condolences saying, "My love and condolences to his family and friends, we will miss him."

Sharma, a three-time Lok Sabha MP who represented Rae Bareli and Amethi constituencies, was suffering from cancer and was ailing for some time. In the eighties, former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi brought Captain Sharma to politics. Captain Sharma was a professional airline pilot, who worked in Indian Airlines and was a very close friend of Rajiv. The friendship between Captain Sharma and Rajiv Gandhi grew while flying the ship. However, Rajiv Gandhi stepped into politics after the death of his brother Sanjay Gandhi, but Captain Satish Sharma continued in the job of a pilot.

Former Union Minister and Congress leader Jitin Prasad have expressed condolences by sharing an old picture of himself with Satish Sharma. At the same time, Priyanka Gandhi has shared an old photo of her with Captain Satish Sharma, in which she, Rahul Gandhi, and Sonia Gandhi are seen. Sharing the picture, Priyanka Gandhi wrote on Twitter that "RIP Captain Satish Sharma, generous at heart, firm in friendship and loyal to the end, lived his life well. I will miss you very much."
