New Delhi: Former Congress national president Rahul Gandhi has once again hit out at the Modi government. This time he has taken a dig at the Amrit Mahotsav of independence. Rahul Gandhi tweeted, "What kind of Amrit Mahotsav is there when hatred is being spread in the country? What kind of freedom is it for all?.' The BJP has also taken a dig at Rahul Gandhi for his statement.

Let us tell you that the 'Amrit Mahotsav of Freedom' is being celebrated to commemorate 75 years of the country's independence. In the past, the removal of the picture of the country's first PM Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru from the function had created a lot of political turmoil. At that time, Rahul had said how the 'beloved Pandit Nehru of the country' could be thrown out of the hearts of the people.

Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur flagged off a bicycle rally at Kharu in Leh under the Fit India Challenge to celebrate the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence on Saturday. He also cycled with a Ladakh MP to promote the Fit India Challenge.
