Jaipur: In protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC), Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot suddenly went to the dharna on the martyr's memorial located on MI Road, Jaipur. During this, he targeted the central government fiercely. Ashok Gehlot has demanded that the Modi government withdraw the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) to maintain peace and harmony in the country.

Ashok Gehlot has stated that the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC) are not practical. He said that if he had to go to the Detention Center, he would go first. No one will be allowed to go to the Detention Center. No need to panic. According to media reports, Gehlot said that information about the birth place of parents is being sought for the National Population Register (NPR). If I am unable to provide this information, I will also be sent to the Detention Center. You can be sure that if such a situation comes, then I will be the first person to go there. '

He said that I do not know myself when my parents were born. Gehlot further said that it is the right of the government to make laws. But the feelings of the public should be taken care of. Demonstrators have been caught across the country. Many CMs are against CAA. We want the Center to reconsider its decision. He also claimed that the BJP government has refused to implement NRC in Assam.
