Former Rajasthan CM Jagannath Pahadia passes away from Corona, state mourns declared

Jaipur: Former Rajasthan CM and veteran Congress leader Jagannath Pahadia passed away late on Wednesday night. The Ashok Gehlot government in the state has declared a day's state mourning over his death. The former CM corona was infected. State CM Ashok Gehlot has condoled the passing away of Pahadia.

Gehlot tweeted from his official Twitter handle, "The news of the demise of former Chief Minister of the state, Shri Jagannath Pahadia ji, is very sad. Mr Pahadia served the country for a long time as chief minister, as governor, as union minister, he was one of the senior leaders of the country. In another tweet, he wrote, "Mr. Pahadia left us because of covid, I am deeply shocked by his demise. I pray to God to strengthen the bereaved family members in this difficult time and give peace to the departed soul. '

According to an official spokesperson, the State Council of Ministers will meet at 12 noon on May 20 (Thursday) to witness the death of former CM Jagannath Pahadia. There will be a day's state mourning in honour of Pahadia and the national flag will remain half-bowed, all government offices will have a holiday of May 20. Pahadia's funeral will be held with state honours.
