Gehlot government's big shock from Rajasthan High Court, ban on this order

Jaipur: The Gehlot government has received a shock from the High Court. The Gehlot government had canceled the committees of the Municipal Corporation Greater Jaipur. After which, Mayor Somya Gurjar filed a petition challenging the orders of the government. Hearing the same petition, the court has stayed all orders issued by the Directorate of Autonomous Governance.

In fact, a resolution was passed at the board meeting of the Municipal Corporation Greater Jaipur on 28th of January last, in which a proposal for the creation of 21 committees and 7 additional committees was sent to the state government. After which the state government issued an order on February 25, stating that as per section 55-56 of the Municipal Corporation Act 2009, these committees could not be constituted and the government later rejected the proposal. In such a situation, Mayor Somya Gurjar filed a petition in the court against the orders issued by the government.

The court of Judge Ashok Gaur, hearing the petition, stayed the order given by the government on 25 February. During this hearing, senior lawyers Jeetendra Shrimali, Rajendra Prasad and Ashish Sharma were appearing on behalf of the Mayor, while Additional Advocates Anil Mehta and Madhav Mishra were appearing in the court on behalf of the state government. After hearing the facts and arguments of both sides in the hearing, the court said that, How can the state government cancel the resolution which has been passed unanimously in the board meeting of the municipal corporation.
