Jaipur: Rajasthan is likely to reopen schools for students of classes 9 to 12 on a trial basis from the first week of January. The education department has sent a proposal to the government, suggesting a 15-day trial whose approval is awaited from the government According to reports, the government will conduct a short trial of 15 days and only students of classes 9 to 12 will be allowed to attend classes in school.
The situation will be re-evaluated after 15 days and the final decision to reopen the schools after the trial run will be taken by the government. Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasara has said that the priority is to ensure proper education along with the safety of children. The Minister said, 'The top priority of the State Government is to ensure that our children are not affected by the virus, but additionally it is our duty to give them proper education. Therefore, we are considering opening schools, colleges and other educational institutions. '
He has said, 'We are taking suggestions from the Health Department and Home Department. We are also studying and analyzing what other states are thinking.' The final decision will be taken by CM Ashok Gehlot.
